Why non-medical masks?
Cloth masks may slow the spread of COVID-19.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control has recently recommended that all Americans wear non-medical masks in public. Though a fabric mask is not as protective as an N-95 mask or surgical mask, it may slow the spread of covid-19 and also provides some protection to the wearer.
The CDC said, “In light of this new evidence, CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.”
